A Study of Manifold Garden - Godot
A while ago I made what I called "A Study of Manifold Garden" which was essentially me building the core mechanics for the game "Manifold Garden" by William Chyr Studios in Unity. This project is me learning the Godot engine by porting the same functionality into Godot.
This isn't very far along yet, but has the ability to click on walls and rotate the world accordingly.
Known Issues:
- Godot 4 HTML builds take a very long time to run on Mac (and even hang the browser for a short period of time). Unfortunately it's an upstream bug that Godot developers are waiting on a fix for.
- Currently there is no outline shader in the WebGL build because you can't get screenspace normals when using the compatibility renderer in Godot. The shader I'm using in other builds is found here.
Controls
- Movement: WASD
- Interact with walls: Left Mouse Button
